Outline of theScholarship Program
Summary: Students selected for the ALLEXScholarship Program will receive ascholarship for full tuition, room, and food for two years to pursue a Master’sor second Bachelor’s degree. In exchange for this scholarship studentsare required to teach one or two courses of Chinese at the host university.
Qualifications: Applicants forthe scholarship program must hold at least a Bachelor’s degree before theprogram starts in June 2016. Candidates are also required to submit appropriatetest scores such as GRE and TOEFL/IELTS for those seeking a Master’s degree.Experience teaching Chinese is not required, although those withoutadequate experience will be required to take the ALLEX Chinese Teacher TrainingProgram held at Washington University in St. Louis the summer before academicstudies commence.
Target Candidate: The ALLEXScholarship Program seeks candidates in need of financial assistance to studyin the United States, candidates who wish to obtain experience teaching Chineseabroad to prepare for a career as an educator, or candidates who desireexperience abroad to further their career in China.
Deadline: The application deadline is December21, 2015. Interviews will be held in Shanghai in late December and earlyJanuary.

ALLEX Foundation 美国大学全额奖学金

ALLEX FOUNDATION（Alliance for Language Learning and Educational Exchange）是一所帮助中国学生获得美国大学全额奖学金的非营利组织，来自美国纽约州伊萨卡（Ithaca，New York），前身为北美大学教育交流委员会。
“ALLEX Foundation 美国大学全额奖学金”是一项以教学交换奖学金的留学项目。学生一旦被ALLEX录取，将会获得全额奖学金（其中包括全额学费、住宿费、伙食费），在完成硕士或第二学士学位课程的同时担任一至两门汉语课程的教学工作。ALLEX在美国已有28年的历史，并且已有800位ALLEX毕业生在美国大学中获得硕士或第二学士学位。
“ALLEXFoundation 美国大学全额奖学金”项目的主要特点如下：
1. 项目概述：学生一旦被该项目录取，将以担任汉语教学工作获得美国大学的全额奖学金（包括全额学费、住宿费、伙食费）；在完成硕士或第二学士学位课程的同时担任一至两门汉语课程的教学工作。
2. 攻读学位：硕士学位或第二学士学位（可自选，无专业限制，申请者须有大学本科学历或应届毕业生）； 硕士学位申请者同时需要提交GRE以及托福/雅思成绩；申请者无需汉语教学经历，中文教学经验不足者，将统一于入学前的暑期在华盛顿大学圣路易斯分校接受ALLEX汉语教师培训项目。
3. 适用人群：希望减免国外读书之费用者，打算到美国大学读书者，希望在美国累计教学经验者，对中文教学工作感兴趣者，以及有意于完成学业后留美工作者。
4. 截止日期：2015年项目申请截止日期为2015年12月1日。
